The Rainbow Room

Treat yourself to a stay in this richly decorated penthouse suite. Enjoy mountain views from the rooftop hot tub and soak under the stars year-round! Resplendent with fine art, Indian and Spanish artifacts, you'll be immersed in the colorful and creative atmosphere of "Old Taos". A showcase of northern New Mexican, warm and tactile, the staircases, cabinets, doors and furniture are all hand-crafted. Two Indian-made adobe fireplaces lend warmth and romance....

The lovely ceiling of vigas with latillas, color-washed in the spectrum of the rainbow, was inspired by a similar ceiling created for Mabel Dodge Luhan by Paco's grandfather, Ralph Meyers.

A king-size bed, full kitchen, dining area, tub with shower, large flat-screen TV, DVD, I-pod dock & stereo are also provided.

Approximately 600 square feet.

*Deck and hot tub are private and only for the use of the Rainbow Room's guests.

La Madonna


We are constructing a new staircase to access La Madonna. Until completion, the only access is by the interior spiral staircase. This staircase is narrow and not suitable for large bags and may be difficult for people with physical limitations.


A large second-floor suite offering a spectacular view of the sacred Taos Mountain to the north and sunrise to the east. Adorned with original artwork featuring the Madonna and child, it is dedicated to the love and security provided by mothers everywhere. In the bedroom, a large adobe corner fireplace lends warmth and atmosphere. Two queen-size beds with coverlets hand-embroidered in the traditional New Mexican colcha stitch welcome the traveling family and couples alike. A bathtub with shower, two flat-screen TVs, DVDs, I-pod dock, stereo, fridge and microwave are also provided. A roll-away bed is available for an additional fee.

A touch of "Old World" Spain. Named for Santiago (Saint James), the patron saint of Spain and Taos. This lovely second-floor room is decorated with antique art, artifacts and furniture from Spain and Old Mexico. It gives one a feeling of quiet elegance. Enjoy mountain views to the north and east. Features a King bed and adobe corner fireplace and jacuzzi bathtub with shower. A flat-screen TV, DVD, I-pod dock, fridge & microwave are also provided.

Yellow Bird Deer

Yellow Bird Deer, or in Tiwa, Too-Shkool-Moe-Pay-Na is owner Paul "Paco" Castillo’s Indian name. A colorful and cozy ground floor suite that opens onto a flower-filled patio. Decorated in a Native American theme, it features Plains Indian beadwork, Hopi Kachinas, Navajo rugs, Pueblo pottery and fine artwork. In the corner of the sitting room is an Indian-made adobe fireplace. A king bed and jacuzzi bathtub with shower are included.Two flat screen TVs, DVDs, I-pod dock, fridge & microwave are also provided.

Red Willow an ancient word meaning place of the red willows. Paying homage to the people of Taos Pueblo and surrounding tribes, the Red Willow Suite showcases a wonderful collection of Native-themed artwork and artifacts. With adobe mud-brick walls two feet thick, vigas, latillas and much local charm, this early nineteenth century ground-floor suite occupies one of the oldest sections of the inn. Paco built the old-style corner adobe fireplace in the sitting room from two-hundred year-old mud bricks.The bedroom boasts an aspen-log queen-size bed, and the adjacent sitting room, a hand-carved day bed with twin trundle bed. A jacuzzi bath with shower, two flat-screen TVs, DVDs, I-pod dock, fridge & microwave are also provided.

Los Angelitos

Angels watch over you in this charmingly decorated ground-floor suite! Embraced by a collection of angels from around the world and hand-carved New Mexican furniture,you'll sleep safe and sound. An Indian-made adobe fireplace lends warmth and romance, while an adobe archway invites you into the sunny sitting-room with flower-filled windows. Queen bed, jacuzzi bathtub with shower. A twin-size daybed with twin-size trundle bed is available for extra guests. Two flat-screen TVs, DVDs, I-pod dock, fridge & microwave are also provided. This suite is the best choice for those of limited mobility.

Sonrisa means "smile"....this sunny second-floor room brims over with color and whimsy. It features original works by early Taos artist, Gisella Loeffler, with murals and decorative painting by Nina. You'll sleep safe and sound in the canopy bed with its colorful hand-embroidered bedspread. The bathroom is a real surprise.....a custom tile mural depicting the Garden of Eden wraps around a jacuzzi bathtub for two. A floor to ceiling mural by Kristine Keheley completes the scene....have an apple!

La Luz

Up a tiny spiral staircase, there is a little gem, a cozy hide-away. La Luz, "the light" is a petite suite on the third-floor. One can see the sacred mountain while lying in bed. A small private outdoor deck offers mountain views and sky and stars above! Queen bed, custom tiled shower, two flat-screen TVs, DVDs, I-pod dock, coffee, fridge & microwave are provided. *Guests taller than 6'2" should note that the sitting room and entry have low ceilings. Bring smaller suitcases that you can manage up the staircase.
